On March 19, Dar Al Atta’a organized the World Food Festival in its fifth session this year, with the participation of twenty-one Arab and international embassies accredited to the Sultanate of Oman. This celebration, which was organized by the Dar Al Atta’a Association, in cooperation with a number of embassies of different countries of the world, included the presentation of the finest and best Arab and international dishes in their countries. The proceeds of this international festival will be allocated by the Dar Al Atta’a Association for Needy Families registered with the Association, on the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. A number of home entrepreneurs in the Governorate of Muscat participated in this celebration with an Omani corner that includes Omani dishes. At the end of the ceremony, the representatives of the embassies participating in the ceremony, the supervisors of the Omani pavilion and the supporting and assisting bodies were honored.
Dar Al Atta’a Association (DAA) joined efforts with Injaz Oman under the sponsorship of Shell Oman Marketing and Oman Arab Bank has successfully conducted a workshop under the name of (The innovation camp) on the 15th of November 2015, in Al Bahja hall, Qurum Park. The innovation camp; a training program for the teams participating in the big give competition, aimed to enable the students to build their teamwork and project planning skills in a friendly yet competitive environment with their peers who are taking part In the big give competition. The workshop included a detailed lecture explaining the stages of the contest presented by DAA team, and a presentation by Mr. Burair Al Lawati illustrated the partnership between Shell Oman Marketing with DAA in sponsoring the teams with a grant to kick start their programs, followed by a presentation from Mr. Hilal Al Ma'awali the chairman of Outward Bound Oman highlighting the awards to be presented at the end of the big give contest , the most notable award is the Jebel Akhdar camp that will serve as entertainment and training camp for the winning teams. Mr. Nasser Al-Akhzami led the innovation camp coaching seminar, aiming to help the competing teams with creative thinking, building ideas outside the box and proper and more productive project planning. 23 teams out of 25 registered teams took part in the innovation camp from 11 educational institutes with different majors and backgrounds. Among the attendees there was a number of volunteers working for different sectors as each will be a team mentor for the competing teams. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed in making the innovation camp a successful step towards the big give contest.
