Continuity of cooperation and partnership to support sustainable projects between Omantel and Dar Al Atta’a
Qaranqasho is a traditional yearly celebration that falls in the middle of the holy month of Ramadan. Dar Al Atta`a Association works on spreading smiles and joy among hospitalized children where gifts and presents are distributed though DAA volunteers.
Dar Al Atta`a has organized during 2015 The “Treasure Hunt” contest in its third session in Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa. 19 teams from 14 companies participated in the activity.
Teams of five from the same company work together on mind and body challenges that eventually lead to the “treasure”.
The Ceremony was held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel on 2015/6/2 under the auspices of His Excellency Ali Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry, the revenue of 269,968.500 rials was raised to support «My home, My shelter» house maintenance program. Where it is expected from the association to fund the maintenance of a number of 54 houses in all the governorates of the Sultanate.
On the 16th of October of every year the world celebrates the international food day the celebration aims to spread awareness of global suffrage and to encourage people to take precautions to fight hunger , 150 countries around the world celebrate the day , Dar Al Atta’a celebrated the World Food Day for the sixth year in a row with the collaboration of many schools, nurseries, hotels and corporates. Donations were collected and sorted into ration packages in an open day within the associations headquarters with the help of volunteers, the packages were distributed to families registered in the association’s welfare program.
Dar Al-Atta’a Association recently celebrated world food day where a number of volunteers from institutions, school students and employees of the association helped to process more than 400 boxes of supplies and food donated by institutions and companies and a number of individuals Where they were distributed to families in order to celebrate the world food day, which was in October 16.
The volunteers participated in the packaging of the food received by the association through donations for this occasion, which was in rice, flour, oil, sugar, pasta, tea, coffee, dates and other dry and canned foods.
The activity was characterized by a joy, happiness and a sense of tenderness, which is the result of the sense of social responsibility of the members of the community.
The large number of volunteers and the collected materials are evidence of the tender and affection among members of Omani society.
Dar Al-Atta’a Association thanks all volunteers, companies, institutions and all who participated to the success of this event as Omani Women Association in Al-Qurm where they were sorted and packed at the Association hall, Nazwa Bank, International Seeb School, Shate’a Al-Qurm School for girls, Azan Ben Qays International School, Muscat International School, Al-Qurm Model School, Al-Ozaiba School, Council of Medical Specialties, Middle East College, Omani flour Mills Company, Narange Herge Company and his partners, Lulu hyper market(Darsit) which set up a Great Shopping Event with the participation of a number of hotels as Qasr Al-Bostan Hotel, Shangrilla, Craon Blaza, Sheraton Oman, Grand Hayat Hotel, and Kimbenske Hotel, and that to calculate the largest number of food stuff to offer them to Association, in addition to participation of members.
It is worth mentioning that Dar Al-Atta’a Association participates in the celebration of the World Food Day on this day every year.
The aim is to collect foodstuffs and give them to needy families whether they are registered families or families in different regions in cooperation with other charitable groups.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Said Al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development, and the participation of Oman Center for Governance and Sustainability, Dar Al Atta’a Association organized the Volunteer Sector Governance Symposium. The Symposium was held in Sondos Rotana Hotel. Where Dar Al-Atta invited the NGOs and the charity groups in the Sultanate.
