Dar Al Atta’a Association celebrates the graduation of 18 students enrolled in the Special Education and Early Childhood Montessori Diploma


Dar Al Atta’a Association celebrated the graduation of a new batch of students who joined the Diploma course in Special and Early Education Montessori Diploma, after having completed theoretical and practical curriculum in a period of fifteen months of rehabilitation to understand the perspective of the Montessori Educational and special areas qualifying multiple areas such as communication, speech, behavior modification and functionality. As well as practice how to deal with children of different capabilities and prepare Montessori appropriate teaching materials for the development and growth of children.

The Montessori Diploma aims to deliver a high level of professionalism and efficiency by recognizing the Montessori philosophy that enables trainees to prepare a full range of educational systems in addition to understanding of the psychology of a child's growth well.

The Graduates come from five special centers for the disabled, Al-Wafa Rehabilitation Centers for Disabled Children in Bidbid and Al Amerat, Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disability, Childhood Care Center in Al Khoudh and the Handicapped Association in Al Seeb. 

The Association ensured to incarnate the diploma theories in real at Al Wafa Center for the disabled in Bidbid by furnishing and preparing a class that consists the entire Montessori tools needed to give the opportunity to the graduates to apply what they have learned with children of the center directly.

The ceremony was under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Bader Al Maawali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, and the presence of DAA board members as well as officials from the Ministry of Social Development and the parents of the graduates. Honorable Maryam bint Issa Al Zadjali, the Chairperson of Dar Al Atta’a Association: “We are very proud of the graduates who who worked very hard in the past 15 months. She added, the total cost of the project was RO 68,000 sponsored by Dar Al Atta’a and we are faithful that the information and experiences gained by the graduates during their study will undoubtedly improve the level of services provided to the children with special needs and we wish them all the best.
